This is my "1st" real post, so I am going to try and make it short and sweet (that is possible for me! lol)
Today, was such a busy day for me. Luis spent last night with friends; a family with 5 boys that he LOVES ! Anyhow, he spent the night with them, so that I could get up early and go to work. It just makes it easier for Luis. I work as a Residential Counselor at a facility for abused and neglected children. Today, I worked with teenage boys from 7-3. While I love what I do there, I was looking forward to end of shift. My friends watching Luis, asked us to stay and eat dinner. That was a great idea ! But by the time I got to their house, I was ready to get home and collapse! I started thinking, might just be a good idea to stop and get a few groceries. For some reason cooking burgers sounded good. Before we could get home, I told Luis let's take a nap 1st and then I will cook supper. Must have been the beautiful weather, because as soon as I got in the house and unpacked groceries, I started cooking the burgers.
Luis walks in the house from the garage, and says: "Wow ! mom, Are you cooking now?" I replied, "yes, son". Luis says: "Mom, you are beautiful inside and out. But, I love you more for what is in your heart." Yes, my son is only 8 ! His incredible way of saying things never ceases to amaze me.
